Connection defines every aspect of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. Samsung’s mobile technology unites athletes, volunteers, and fans across venues, villages, and urban areas, overcoming language and cultural divides.

Dynamic Captures at the Opening Ceremony

Galaxy S25 Ultra devices enhanced the Opening Ceremony broadcast, providing fresh angles alongside standard cameras. Medalists on the podium used the Victory Selfie feature on the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition to document their triumphs, creating memorable highlights of Olympic glory.

Breaking Language Barriers with AI

Samsung equips volunteers with Galaxy devices featuring on-device Galaxy AI Interpreter, enabling smooth interactions even in remote mountain sites. Emmanuel Mantilla Jr., a volunteer from the Philippines aiding National Olympic Committees in the Olympic Village, notes how this tool transforms communication.

“The Olympic Games act like a universal language, uniting diverse cultures,” Mantilla said. “English is common, but not everyone speaks it confidently. Previously, I hesitated and sought others for help.”

Now, Interpreter empowers direct engagement. “I approach people confidently and offer assistance immediately,” he added. Mantilla shared a key example: at a tram stop, he guided a spectator to the ice hockey arena using Interpreter, despite it falling outside his zone. “I explained tram routes and shuttle transfers effortlessly.”

Athletes Bond Across Nations

In the Olympic Village, athletes leverage Interpreter for effortless exchanges. Xaverri Williams, bobsleigh athlete from Trinidad and Tobago, finds it invaluable. “It aids understanding with non-fluent English speakers, smoothing communication,” he said.

Spanish figure skater Tomas Guarino Sabate agrees: “Even with widespread English, minor language hurdles arise. Live translation proves essential in those instances.”

Italy’s Team Samsung Galaxy athlete Daniel Grassl highlights broader impacts: “Mobile tech boosts athlete interactions and lets us share daily experiences with fans.”

Citywide Engagement for Fans

Galaxy Charging Stations dot Milano, Bormio, and Livigno, keeping spectators powered to share live updates. The Samsung Victory Truck tours these cities, offering AR photo ops with mascots Tina and Milo. Fans scan QR codes to download digital souvenirs from the Games.

Samsung’s innovations ensure language, distance, and geography never hinder the shared Olympic spirit at Milano Cortina 2026.
