Archaeologists just lately discovered an artifact-filled Viking-era burial website in Denmark — revealing treasures that after belonged to an elite household.

The invention was introduced by Moesgaard Museum (MOMU), a regional Danish museum, in a June assertion. 

The graveyard was discovered within the village of Lisbjerg, situated north of the key Danish metropolis of Aarhus.

One discovery of specific curiosity was a silver-plated oak casket that possible belonged to a high-status girl. 

The grave contained a brooch, needle and a filigree bead, made by twisting high quality threads of steel into ornate designs.

Mads Ravn, head of native cultural heritage at MOMU, mentioned the grave website is “very possible” related to a Viking-era manor lower than a mile away.

The Viking Age lasted from roughly 800 AD to 1050 AD.

Artifacts from that period proceed to be found all through Europe by archaeologists and hobbyists alike.
