Anthropic has agreed to pay a minimum of $1.5 billion to settle a category motion lawsuit with a bunch of authors, who claimed the factitious intelligence startup had illegally accessed their books.

The corporate can pay roughly $3,000 per e book plus curiosity, and agreed to destroy the datasets containing the allegedly pirated materials, in keeping with a submitting on Friday.
