Black Bear has acquired the U.S. rights to “Tuner,” and can launch the movie theatrically in 2026, the distributor introduced on Monday. “Tuner” is the characteristic movie debut of Oscar-winning author/director Daniel Roher (“Nalvany”) that stars Leo Woodall, Dustin Hoffman, Havana Rose Liu and Lior Raz.
Woodall performs a former piano prodigy turned piano tuner apprentice who’s down on his luck. Utilizing his glorious auditory abilities to assist out his discovered household (Hoffman) in a time of dire want whereas discovering love and inspiration in surprising locations with a composer (Liu), he’s compelled to make powerful selections as he will get concerned within the unsavory enterprise of cracking safes.
The romantic thriller premiered on the Telluride and Toronto Movie Festivals and can mark the corporate’s second theatrical launch.

The U.S. distribution deal was brokered with UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent. Black Bear reps the international rights to the film.
