Hillary Clinton accuses President Donald Trump of covering up the probe into Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in custody. She demands full release of files and insists everyone testify when called.
“Get the files out. They are slow-walking it. I think everyone should testify who is asked to testify,” Clinton stated.
The Justice Department recently disclosed more than three million documents, photos, and videos from its investigation into Epstein, ruled a suicide in 2019.
Clintons Ordered to Testify
Bill Clinton features prominently in the Epstein files, but no evidence links the Clintons to any misconduct. The House Oversight Committee requires closed-door depositions from both as it examines Epstein’s links to prominent individuals and the management of crime-related information.
“We will show up but we think it would be better to have it in public,” Hillary Clinton remarked. The couple has agreed to appear, averting Republican threats of contempt charges.
Bill Clinton labeled a private session a “kangaroo court” and pushed for open hearings. Hillary Clinton added that they have already shared all relevant details with the committee and favor public resolution of disputes.
Political Divide Emerges
Democrats argue Republicans wield the inquiry to attack Trump’s adversaries. Trump, once a close Epstein associate, faces no subpoena to testify.
