Canadians are being urged to “go away Iran now” in an up to date journey advisory issued by International Affairs Canada as protests and a crackdown by Tehran intensify.
“Threat degree — you need to go away Iran now,” GAC stated in an up to date journey advisory on Tuesday.
“Keep away from all journey to Iran attributable to ongoing nationwide demonstrations, tensions within the area, the excessive threat of arbitrary detention and the unpredictable enforcement of native legal guidelines,” the advisory stated.

The advisory factors to the arrest and detention by Iranian authorities of a number of people, “together with overseas and twin nationals, to exert political or diplomatic affect on their governments.”
Whereas many airways have suspended flights to and from Iran, GAC stated overland crossing choices are open.
