A 32-year-old resident of Los Alamitos entered a not guilty plea on Wednesday to allegations of raping an unconscious 17-year-old girl and possessing child pornography. Glenn Canyon Childers also denied charges related to possessing Adderall, Xanax, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, psilocybin, and ketamine.
Investigation and Arrest Details
Los Alamitos police launched an investigation on August 31 following a report that an underage teenage girl had been given drugs prior to a sexual assault. Authorities arrested Childers on February 24, and he secured release from custody after posting $100,000 bail.
Serious Felony and Misdemeanor Charges
Childers faces felony counts of rape of an unconscious person, rape by use of drugs, and possession or control of child pornography. Prosecutors additionally charge him with seven misdemeanor counts for possessing controlled substances. The criminal complaint accuses him of holding more than 600 images of child pornography, including at least 10 depicting prepubescent minors under age 12. Some images reportedly involve sexual sadism and masochism with minors.
Prosecutors Seek Additional Victims
Officials request further details on potential other victims, noting Childers’ past work as a DJ at children’s parties.
Defense Attorney’s Response
Michael Guisti, Childers’ attorney, asserts that his client has not worked at a children’s party in a decade. “The press release from the Orange County District Attorney’s public affairs department is a disappointing attempt to sensationalize a case they had already rejected in August of 2025,” Guisti stated. “My client’s job as a DJ has absolutely nothing to do with the allegations against him. He and the alleged victim had been in a relationship for eight months. He saw the victim’s mother regularly and the alleged victim was well known and part of his circle of friends. He told the police that when he was arrested in August. Cases involving minors are very serious and a misleading press release which implies my client is a predator preying on children at birthday parties is reckless and misleading.”
Childers’ next court appearance is scheduled for May 28 at the West Justice Center in Westminster for a pretrial hearing.
