Bharatiya Janata Party MP Ravi Shankar Prasad sharply criticizes Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, describing his political conduct as an “embodiment of anarchy.” Prasad accuses Gandhi of undermining democratic processes, parliamentary decorum, and his own party amid recent election setbacks.
Prasad’s Strong Rebuke on Gandhi’s Conduct
Ravi Shankar Prasad states that Rahul Gandhi’s actions demonstrate a disregard for constitutional integrity. “The whole political conduct of Rahul Gandhi is becoming an embodiment of anarchy,” Prasad declares. He points to Congress’s poor performance in the Maharashtra Zilla Parishad and municipal corporation elections, suggesting Gandhi should prioritize rebuilding his party rather than causing disruptions in Parliament.
Prasad further alleges that Gandhi habitually denigrates Indian democracy abroad due to his animosity toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He questions how Gandhi obtained a book by MM Naravane before its publication and criticizes instances where Gandhi labeled a Sikh minister a traitor, called the Speaker “yaar,” directed women MPs to surround the Prime Minister’s chair, and spread falsehoods on the Parliament floor.
Rahul Gandhi Engages Farmer Unions on US Trade Deal
In a parallel development, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi convenes a meeting at his Parliament office with representatives from 17 major farmer unions across India to voice opposition to the proposed India-US interim trade deal.
Sukhpal Singh Khaira, MLA from Bholath and Chairman of the All India Kisan Congress, shares that the delegation warns the agreement threatens livelihoods of farmers growing corn, soybean, cotton, fruits, and nuts. Khaira notes on X: “LoP Shri Rahul Gandhi met leaders of farm unions from across the country at Parliament House today. The farm leaders expressed their opposition to the US-India trade deal, warning that it poses a grave threat to the livelihoods of farmers cultivating corn, soybean, cotton, fruits, and nuts. In the discussion, Rahul ji and the union leaders underscored the urgent need for a nationwide mass movement to resist this deal and defend the rights, incomes, and future of farmers and farm labourers across India.”
The delegation features key figures including Sukhpal S. Khaira, Advocate Ashok Balhara, PT John, and Tejveer Singh. Their collective position signals that Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) India gears up for a major campaign reminiscent of the 2020-21 farm law protests.
