Samsung Electronics’ Micro RGB TV (R95H model) has earned both the Safety for Eyes and Circadian Rhythm Display (CRD) certifications from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), a prominent German testing institute.
Understanding the Certifications
These certifications stem from VDE’s EyeCare Circadian framework and employ advanced evaluation methods to confirm eye safety and circadian rhythm alignment, offering users greater confidence in display quality for extended viewing.
The Safety for Eyes certification assesses light emissions from displays, emphasizing blue light’s effects on eye health during prolonged use.
The CRD certification evaluates a display’s capacity to align with the human biological clock. It tests adjustments to color temperature and brightness that emulate natural daylight, while minimizing evening blue light exposure to avoid melatonin disruption and promote better sleep patterns.
Samsung’s Micro RGB Technology Shines
The Micro RGB TV satisfies these strict criteria through its innovative Micro RGB LED design, which precisely controls brightness and color for ideal viewing across all times of day.
Samsung applies Safety for Eyes certification across its 2026 TV series and CRD to high-end models, with plans to extend CRD to more products.
“Micro RGB TV sets a new benchmark in premium televisions with verification for both eye safety and circadian support,” states Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business. “We remain committed to displays that adapt to viewing habits and improve daily life.”
