Tragic Discovery in Victoria Following Bulacan Homicide

Authorities have confirmed the discovery of a deceased male at a calamansi plantation in Victoria, Tarlac, identified as the son of a recently slain police officer. The victim’s body was found in a disturbing state, reportedly bound and wrapped in plastic tape.

The discovery comes shortly after the victim’s mother, 38-year-old Senior Master Sgt. Diane Marie Mollenido, was found dead in Bulacan. The double tragedy has sparked an intensive investigation as investigators work to determine if the two killings are connected and to establish a timeline of events leading to the deaths.

Details of the Tarlac Discovery

Local law enforcement responded to a reports farm workers in Victoria who stumbled upon the remains while tending to the orchard. Initial forensic assessments indicate that the victim had been dead for some time before being discovered. The manner in which the body was restrained suggests a deliberate and violent act, though a formal autopsy is still pending to confirm the exact cause of death.

Ongoing Investigation and Potential Leads

Security officials are currently reviewing surveillance footage from nearby areas and interviewing potential witnesses who may have seen suspicious vehicles or individuals near the farm. The Southern Police District had previously noted that Mollenido was reported missing before her body was recovered in Bulacan, raising questions about whether the mother and son were abducted together.

While no suspects have been named at this stage, investigators are exploring various motives, including personal grudges or links to the officer’s professional duties. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the movements of the victims in the days leading up to the discovery to come forward to assist in the swift resolution of the case.
