The Tiruchi City Police Detective Dog Squad has welcomed a one-year-and-two-month-old Belgian Malinois named ‘Silambu’, trained specifically to detect narcotic substances.
Silambu’s Rigorous Training Path
Silambu first completed three months of foundational training at the K.K. Nagar Detective Dog Squad facility. The dog then advanced to six months of specialized instruction at the Tamil Nadu State Police Detective Dog Training Centre in Coimbatore.
This induction represents a milestone, as ‘Silambu’ becomes the first Belgian Malinois to join the Tiruchi City Police Detective Dog Squad.
With its keen senses and elite training, ‘Silambu’ stands ready to support law enforcement efforts in combating drug-related activities across the region.
