Influencer Lorna Luxe, 43, shares the devastating news of her husband John Andrews’ passing at age 64 following a courageous battle with stage four adrenal cancer.
Diagnosis and Final Days
John received his diagnosis in April 2023. Twenty-one years Lorna’s senior and a former banker, he fought the disease until it spread last month, when Lorna told her 1.6 million Instagram followers that treatment was no longer possible.
On Thursday, Lorna announced his death in an emotional Instagram post: “My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken.”
She described their final moments: “We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.”
In their last conversation, when asked how he felt, John replied, “rough but in love”—a response that captured his direct nature and desire to reassure her.
Lorna expressed deep gratitude to the district nurses who visited daily, particularly Anna, whom she called a “real life angel.” She also thanked her mother for providing strength during John’s final days, enabling the couple to stay at home.
“John you are a class act and I will love you forever,” she concluded.
