Considering Machines cofounders Barret Zoph and Luke Metz are leaving the fledgling AI lab and rejoining OpenAI, the ChatGPT-maker introduced on Thursday. OpenAI’s CEO of purposes, Fidji Simo, shared the information in a memo to workers Thursday afternoon.
The information was first reported on X by know-how reporter Kylie Robison, who wrote that Zoph was fired for “unethical conduct.”
A supply near Considering Machines stated that Zoph had shared confidential firm data with opponents. WIRED was unable to confirm this data with Zoph, who didn’t instantly reply to WIRED’s request for remark.
