Saudi Arabia has arrested greater than 21,100 individuals in a single week as authorities intensify efforts to curb residency, labour, and border safety breaches throughout the Kingdom.

The inspection campaigns, carried out between November 20 and 26, have been carried out throughout all areas of Saudi Arabia to make sure compliance with residency, work, and border laws.

Officers recorded 21,134 violations, together with:

  • 13,138 residency offences
  • 4,826 labour regulation breaches
  • 3,180 border safety violations

Saudi border and labour violations detailed

Authorities apprehended 1,667 people making an attempt to cross the border into the Kingdom illegally. Of those, 42 per cent have been Yemenis and 57 per cent have been Ethiopians.

As well as, authorities arrested 31 individuals for attempting to depart the Kingdom illegally and detained 14 others for transporting, sheltering, or using violators.

A complete of 31,091 expatriates — comprising 29,538 males and 1,553 girls — are presently present process procedures for imposing related laws.

22,071 people have been detained for violating the laws and have been instructed to contact their international locations’ embassies or consulates to acquire correct journey paperwork.

Public urged to report violations
