The federal authorities is imposing extra sanctions towards 4 people who find themselves senior officers within the Iranian authorities, International Affairs Minister Anita Anand stated in a press release.
The newest spherical of sanctions has been imposed beneath the Particular Financial Measures (Iran) Rules.
“These people, all Iranian senior officers, have been concerned in gross and systematic human rights violations within the Islamic Republic of Iran (Iran), and have had a major function in facilitating and directing repressive insurance policies,” Anand stated within the assertion.

- Mohsen Karimi
- Ahmad Kadem Seyedoshohada

Canada has now imposed 18 rounds of sanctions since October 2022 towards Iranian officers and entities over allegations of human rights violations.
This brings the overall variety of Iranian people sanctioned by Canada to 210 and the variety of sanctioned Iranian entities to 254.
