MANILA, Philippines — Authorities have arrested a 30-year-old Filipina overseas worker at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 after discovering suspected cocaine valued at approximately P43.42 million hidden in her luggage.

The interception occurred on Thursday night when the woman, identified only by her first name Vane, arrived from Sao Paulo, Brazil, via a connecting flight from Doha, Qatar. Bureau of Customs officials conducted routine screening and detected suspicious items in her baggage using X-ray equipment.
Upon further inspection, officers uncovered about 8.197 kilograms of the suspected cocaine. The woman was immediately detained, and the contraband was seized for analysis.
