Sofia Vergara shares heartwarming moments from a casual reunion with her former Modern Family co-stars Julie Bowen and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, capturing the trio’s joyful selfies on social media.
Delightful Gathering
The 53-year-old actress, known for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the beloved ABC sitcom that ran for 11 seasons, posted the images on her Instagram on Friday. In the photos, Vergara looks directly at the camera with a warm smile, while Bowen and Ferguson beam alongside her. Ferguson’s husband, Justin Mikita—recognized for his role in Taylor Swift’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ music video—joins the group, adding to the lighthearted vibe.
Vergara opts for a chic, form-fitting brown knit dress topped with a brown leather jacket, perfect for the relaxed occasion. Her long hair falls straight past her shoulders, parted in the middle for an effortless style. She keeps accessories simple with small earrings and a few statement rings, letting her ensemble shine. Her makeup features volumized lashes with mascara, smoky eye shadow, a subtle blush for radiance, and a deep nude lip color.
She follows up with an Instagram Story mirror selfie, showcasing her outfit and holding a tan clutch for essentials during the fun meetup.
Roles and Lasting Bonds
Bowen portrayed Claire Dunphy, and Ferguson played Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family, which concluded in 2020. This isn’t their first post-show gathering. In 2023, Vergara hosted Bowen, Ferguson, and Mikita at her mansion. Later that year, she organized a bigger reunion including Rico Rodriguez, Ed O’Neill, Nolan Gould, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Eric Stonestreet. Ty Burrell couldn’t attend, but the group honored him with a framed photo.
Last October, Vergara updated fans on the cast’s connection five years after the finale. ‘We are still like a family,’ she stated. ‘Everything we do, we are connected in a gigantic chat with all the kids and all the actors. And we’re always watching each other, supporting each other.’
She also reflected on the immediate aftermath, noting to media how the group felt ‘disconnected’ post-filming. ‘We kind of got separated because we finished, and two weeks later, they closed everything for COVID. We got disconnected really fast.’
Recent Ventures
Vergara stays active in her career, recently teaming up with Octavia Spencer for the Detect the SOS campaign. This initiative promotes awareness of chronic kidney disease through a uACR urine test for those with high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes, helping detect risks for heart attacks or strokes. The ad will debut during Super Bowl LX on February 8.
Spencer emphasized the campaign’s importance, saying, ‘Your body could be sending out an SOS if your kidneys are malfunctioning and you wanna answer the call. And while that sounds like it’s scary, the way to detect it is easy.’
Just last week, Vergara turned heads at the premiere of Paris Hilton’s documentary Infinite Icon: A Visual Memoir. She wore a strapless leather dress that accentuated her figure, with her dark hair styled in loose waves parted down the middle. At the event, she mingled with guests like model and former America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum, sharing a photo of them enjoying popcorn together in the theater.
