David Beckham steps into the kitchen to prepare a gourmet dish alongside longtime friend Gordon Ramsay, highlighting their new partnership for a meal delivery service.
The Celebrity Collaboration
The former soccer star, aged 50, and the renowned chef, 59, have maintained a friendship spanning two decades. They now join forces to promote Real Home Chef, a meal box company featuring Ramsay’s premium recipes. Beckham contributes his BEEUP fruit snacks to the deliveries, adding a sweet touch to the offerings.
On Saturday, Beckham shared an Instagram video demonstrating his skills with a Scallop Truffle Risotto recipe provided by Ramsay. The clip captures a FaceTime call where Ramsay supervises the preparation, offering real-time guidance.
‘Look what has just arrived at my house. What have you sent me?’ Beckham asks upon unboxing the kit. Ramsay responds, ‘It’s a little gift from chef to chef.’
Noting Ramsay’s stern expression on the packaging, Beckham jokes, ‘You could have smiled by the way.’ Ramsay laughs and clarifies, ‘That is me smiling, sorry.’ He adds, ‘Inside that box is a five-star recipe of a beautiful scallop truffle risotto, which I know you love.’
Beckham replies, ‘That’s very true actually. Okay so risotto, watch and learn.’ As he sears the scallops, Beckham seeks advice, prompting Ramsay to praise, ‘They are looking beautiful. Great sear by the way. Bellissimo!’
Beckham credits his teacher, saying, ‘I’ve had a good teacher. All done mate, finishing touches,’ while adding chives. He then introduces the BEEUP snacks, holding up the packet and noting, ‘But there’s one thing that’s missing in the meal kit. Something sweet.’ Ramsay concludes, ‘Your finishing touches. Well done, chef.’
Timing Amid Family Spotlight
This post arrives shortly after Beckham’s son, Brooklyn, 26, faced online mockery for a social media cooking video. Brooklyn prepared a ‘special spaghetti Bolognese’ without spaghetti, drawing humorous comments like, ‘Is the spaghetti in the room with us, hun?’ and ‘This is not spaghetti.’
Brooklyn later explained in the comments, ‘I was going to use spaghetti but ran out xx.’ The video marked his return to cooking content following a public statement last week, where he accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of controlling behavior and attempting to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz, 30.
In the statement, Brooklyn claimed Victoria withdrew from designing Peltz’s wedding dress at the last minute and altered their wedding’s first dance. Sources indicate Victoria feels betrayed, especially after years of shielding Brooklyn from negative publicity through legal protections against scandalous stories.
David and Victoria reportedly remain open to reconciliation and express horror at the recent developments. Meanwhile, Brooklyn shared family moments with Peltz, including dinner scenes, her in bed, walks with their dog Lamb, and views of a kitchen garden.
Family Unity in Paris
Over 5,700 miles away in Paris, David, Victoria, and their children—Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14—demonstrate solidarity at Haute Couture Fashion Week.
