BAGUIO CITY — Young participants rose before dawn on the first Sunday of February to join the vibrant opening parade of the 30th Baguio Flower Festival.
Early Start in the Summer Capital
Six school groups from Baguio, known as the summer capital, and the nearby town of Tuba in Benguet, gathered for the procession through downtown streets. The crisp morning air registered at 14 degrees Celsius around 5 a.m., offering a refreshing change from typical cooler temperatures in the region.
The event marks the beginning of a month-long celebration highlighting the city’s floral heritage and community spirit, drawing families and visitors to the highland destination.
