Rams defensive standouts Byron Young and Kobie Turner shared their lists of quarterbacks they most want to sack, delivering answers with the raw confidence typical of elite pass rushers.

Byron Young’s Elite Targets

Byron Young rattled off a roster of superstar quarterbacks without hesitation: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, and Joe Burrow. These are MVP-caliber players and franchise leaders whose games draw massive attention. For Young, a linebacker powered by speed and power, pursuing such high-profile targets defines the thrill of the rush.

Kobie Turner’s Divisional Focus and Personal Vendetta

Kobie Turner, the Rams’ rising defensive end, started with familiar foes from the NFC West: Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy, and Kyler Murray. He faces these quarterbacks twice a season, dissecting their patterns in detail. Division rivalries build intensity and rivalries.

Turner reserved his top spot for Caleb Williams, the former USC Heisman winner now with the Chicago Bears. The grudge stems from an NFC Divisional Round play where Williams, scrambling backward, launched a 40-yard touchdown pass off his back foot on fourth down as Turner bore down. The score tied the game and sent it to overtime, leaving unfinished business.

“I did like sacking Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy, and Kyler Murray,” Turner said. “But I’d like to have an opportunity to get to Caleb Williams. I have to get him.”

Great pass rushers thrive on defining moments like these, turning past near-misses into future triumphs when the pocket breaks down.
