A conservative communications strategist and former GOP staffer sharply criticized Pam Bondi’s conduct during a recent congressional hearing, while faulting Rep. Jim Jordan for failing to maintain order.
Gillespie’s Strong Condemnation
Maura Gillespie, who previously worked for Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), addressed Bondi’s performance on MS NOW. She described the hearing as a sham and accused Bondi of disrespecting lawmakers by “bowing down” to former President Trump.
Gillespie emphasized that Bondi’s outbursts were “truly disgraceful,” damaging her position and the committee’s reputation. “Jim Jordan did not do justice to his committee by not holding her more accountable,” she stated.
Key Points of Criticism
Gillespie highlighted Bondi’s refusal to face victims directly as particularly egregious. “Her entire career, she has just embarrassed herself now because she says she ran to hold criminals accountable and to bring justice to victims, and she wouldn’t even face them,” Gillespie remarked.
The strategist argued that the damage from Bondi’s actions cannot be undone, questioning the purpose of her testimony amid widespread GOP criticism.
