Samsung’s Galaxy brand sound, “Over the Horizon,” launches its 2026 edition with the theme “A Soundtrack of the Earth.” This orchestral piece captures the planet’s stunning beauty through rich, harmonious melodies.
Annual Evolution of Brand Sound
Samsung refreshes “Over the Horizon” each year to embody its brand philosophy via innovative music. Building on a traditional Korean orchestra in 2024 and big band jazz in 2025, the 2026 version highlights sustainability through sweeping full-orchestra arrangements.
The track debuts ahead of the new Galaxy S series reveal on February 25 (PST). It portrays nature’s majestic scale and subtle grace, emphasizing seamless integration between advanced technology and the natural world.
Composer Eunike Tanzil’s Natural Inspiration
Los Angeles-based composer and pianist Eunike Tanzil crafts the music and arrangement for “Over the Horizon 2026.” Celebrated for her lyrical melodies and emotive harmonies, she first gained notice in February 2024 through a social media reinterpretation of the theme.
Tanzil draws directly from nature’s elements. Bold brass and horns open the piece, summoning images of soaring mountains. Gentle, flowing strings in the middle evoke serene ocean waves. She fuses in the angklung—a traditional Indonesian instrument—within the Western orchestra for a unique sonic blend.
“Blending instruments with different identities was an enjoyable challenge and became a meaningful chapter in my musical journey,” Tanzil reflects.
