Samsung Electronics announces the ongoing expansion of Galaxy AI, advancing a vibrant, open multi-agent ecosystem. This development aligns with the company’s goal of streamlining daily tasks through AI that offers users enhanced choice, adaptability, and command.

Evolving User Preferences Drive Multi-Agent Support

Recent studies reveal a growing trend where individuals employ various AI agents for different activities as AI integrates deeper into routines. Close to 80% of users now depend on more than two AI agent types. In response, Galaxy AI evolves to incorporate multiple integrated agents, allowing personalization based on individual needs and habits.

Galaxy AI embeds directly into the operating system via profound framework connections, grasping user context for intuitive interactions. Operating at the system level surpasses app silos, minimizing app switches and command repetitions while functioning seamlessly in the background. This setup facilitates curated integrations from partner services like Perplexity, ensuring a unified Galaxy experience.

“We remain dedicated to an open, inclusive AI ecosystem that empowers users with choice, flexibility, and control for efficient task completion,” states Won-Joon Choi, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of the R&D Office for the Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “Galaxy AI serves as an orchestrator, unifying diverse AI forms into a fluid, cohesive interface.”

Perplexity Joins as New AI Agent on Flagship Devices

Samsung introduces Perplexity as a fresh AI agent on forthcoming flagship Galaxy devices. Users activate it via the voice command “Hey Plex” or by long-pressing the side button for instant contextual help. Deeply woven into key apps such as Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar—plus select third-party options—Perplexity streamlines multi-step processes, enabling effortless task transitions without app juggling.

This system-wide integration delivers a more dynamic, versatile AI across Galaxy devices. Samsung prioritizes user-friendly experiences through collaborations with reliable partners, with further device and feature specifics forthcoming.
