Free agent Taj Gibson has secured a two-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, according to his representative Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports. At age 40, Gibson returns to the NBA for his 17th season, known for his leadership and professionalism.

Taj Gibson’s Recent Performance

Last season, Gibson appeared in 37 games for the Charlotte Hornets, posting averages of 2.9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

Career Statistics and Teams

Throughout his career, Gibson has suited up for the Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons, and Hornets. He holds career averages of 8.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Kyle Anderson’s Buyout and Move

Separately, Kyle Anderson has agreed to a contract buyout with the Grizzlies and intends to sign with the Minnesota Timberwolves once he clears waivers. Sources confirm Anderson, who played two seasons with the Timberwolves from 2022 to 2024, gains a chance to rejoin the Western Conference contender. His agent, Thad Foucher, collaborated with Grizzlies officials on Thursday to complete the buyout agreement.
