A Blinkit delivery executive faces arrest in Bengaluru following an alleged assault on a customer amid a dispute over a delivery address. The altercation unfolded around 2 a.m. on March 7 in an apartment complex in the Koramangala neighborhood.
Details of the Incident
Police identified the accused as Tanush, a delivery worker based in Ejipura. The customer, Paul J. Vithayathil, had ordered items via the Blinkit app and anticipated delivery at his specific flat.
Authorities report that Tanush arrived at the incorrect spot within the building. When Vithayathil contacted him to direct him to the right floor, a heated verbal exchange ensued.
Tanush then proceeded to the customer’s residence, where tensions boiled over. During the confrontation, he allegedly struck Vithayathil in the face, discarded the delivery items, and fled the scene.
Medical Findings and Police Action
Vithayathil sought immediate medical attention. Examinations, including an X-ray of his nasal bones, confirmed a fracture to his nose.
Acting on the customer’s complaint and supporting medical evidence, police filed charges and apprehended Tanush shortly thereafter.
