North Korea launched roughly 10 ballistic missiles toward the eastern sea on Saturday, demonstrating its military capabilities as South Korea and the United States conducted joint exercises.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that the missiles originated from the Sunan district, home to Pyongyang’s international airport. The projectiles traveled approximately 350 kilometers (220 miles) before splashing down.
Japan’s Assessment
Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi confirmed the missiles landed outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone. Authorities reported no damage to aircraft or ships.
Diplomatic Statements
Earlier, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry issued statements criticizing joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran. The ministry expressed strong support for Tehran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
