Boram Bio announces a major advancement in biotechnology with the development of ultra-low molecular weight protein peptides (ULP) from single-cell protein sources. These peptides feature sizes below 0.5 kilodaltons (kDa), enabling superior nutrient delivery.

Revolutionary Protein Breakdown Process

The innovation breaks down single-cell protein into superfine particles under 0.5 kDa. This process concentrates soybean lees and elevates protein levels dramatically. Key components reach as low as 0.2 kDa, facilitating direct absorption at the cellular level for maximum bioavailability.

Engineers at Boram Bio optimized the conversion by selecting three elite single-cell protein strains, surpassing standard options for enhanced purity and performance.

Versatile Applications Across Industries

ULP emerges as a versatile material for hygiene products, sanitation supplies, and everyday consumables. Its elevated amino acid content—vital for single-cell protein processing—fuels applications in bulk protein formulations and high-volume intake solutions.

In food and animal feed sectors, ULP improves flavor profiles and nutritional value. Targeted uses include feed mixes, protein meals, sports drinks, and lipid-enriched nutritionals. Boram Bio plans to leverage existing infrastructure for rapid commercialization.

A company spokesperson explains, “Single-cell protein excels by penetrating cells as essential nutrients irrespective of dosage. Our superfine protein peptide technology harnesses soybean lees to optimize single-cell protein utilization fully.”
