One year after launching Operation Sindoor, the Indian Air Force shared a gripping video on X highlighting key moments from the mission, featuring Rafale jets and Indian Navy elements in action.
Operation Sindoor: A Decisive Response
The operation targeted Pakistan-backed terrorist infrastructure following an attack that claimed 26 lives in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Indian forces delivered precision strikes using cruise missiles, drones, and glide bombs, reducing key military sites to rubble. Damaged airframes, collapsed hangars, and wrecked air defense radars marked the aftermath.
BrahMos cruise missiles ignited massive fireballs across terror camps and bases deep in Pakistan, visible from afar and underscoring India’s resolve.
Anniversary Video Release
At 1:05 a.m. on May 7—exactly one year after the initial strikes—the IAF posted the video. It captures Prime Minister Narendra Modi declaring, “India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers.”
The accompanying caption reads: “Operation Sindoor. Justice served. Precise in action, eternal in memory—Operation Sindoor continues. India forgets nothing. India forgives nothing.”
Targets and Impact
This marked India’s most extensive multi-domain operation in nearly five decades, hitting nine terror camps with seven confirmed successes. Strikes focused on Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarters in Bahawalpur, Lashkar-e-Taiba base in Muridke, and sites in Mehmoona Joya (Sialkot), Sawai Nala, Syed Na Bilal (Muzaffarabad), Gulpur, Abbas (Kotli), Barnala (Bhimber), and Sarjal.
Pakistan sought a ceasefire on May 9 amid ongoing hostilities, highlighting its challenges against sustained Indian pressure. Nuclear threats from Islamabad failed to deter New Delhi’s conventional superiority.
