US-Rajasthan Partnership Gains Momentum
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor met Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Wednesday, reaffirming efforts to strengthen the partnership between the United States and Rajasthan.
In a post on X, the Ambassador expressed delight at the meeting and highlighted a commitment to fostering innovation and mutual growth. He also announced plans to return to Rajasthan later this month.
“Delighted to meet Deputy Chief Minister @KumariDiya and reaffirm our commitment to a strong U.S.-Rajasthan partnership that champions innovation and mutual growth. Looking forward to being back in Rajasthan later this month!” the US Envoy stated.
The leaders previously met in April, where they explored collaboration opportunities centered on economic growth and cultural exchange.
Rajasthan’s Deputy Chief Minister emphasized in an X post how such discussions reinforce mutual dedication to progress and deeper ties. “Had a cordial and constructive meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to India, Mr. @SergioGor, today. We discussed avenues of collaboration, with a shared focus on growth and cultural exchange. Such engagements continue to reinforce our mutual commitment to deeper partnership and progress,” she noted.
Ambassador Engages in Eastern India
Earlier that day, Ambassador Gor visited the US Consulate in Kolkata, America’s second-oldest diplomatic post worldwide. He praised its key role in bolstering ties across India, particularly in the expanding eastern and northeastern regions.
In another X update, he shared his visit to the Missionaries of Charity, where he prayed with the Sisters and honored Mother Teresa’s enduring legacy. “Mother Teresa’s Christian faith and life of service continues to inspire millions of people across continents,” the Ambassador wrote.
Strengthening US-Assam Relations
On Tuesday, Ambassador Gor met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to advance US-Assam ties for the benefit of local communities. He voiced optimism about expanding commercial cooperation, creating win-win opportunities for both nations.
