A brush fireplace ignited in mountain foothills in Riverside County on Wednesday afternoon, rising to 700 acres by dusk and prompting evacuation orders in close by rural communities, authorities stated.
The Dale fireplace was reported shortly after 12:30 p.m. by Lugo Highway and Freeway 371 in Aguanga, in line with the Riverside Unit of the California Division of Forestry and Hearth Safety. The blaze was initially burning at a average charge of unfold and was mapped at 331 acres at 3:15 p.m., in line with Cal Hearth Riverside.
