Former African Union diplomat Arikana Chihombori argues that Trump’s Africa coverage is ‘a step in the precise course’.
Africa’s leaders have nobody in charge however themselves if they can not attain equitable commerce offers with the USA, argues the previous consultant of the African Union to the US, Arikana Chihombori-Quao.
Chihombori-Quao tells host Steve Clemons that US President Donald Trump’s “commerce, not support” coverage opens up “a possibility that African leaders weren’t awarded by the colonisers, the European nations, after they got down to exploit the continent of Africa”.
She provides that African leaders shouldn’t permit themselves to be bullied by Trump, “as a result of he has what you want, you even have what he needs”.
