Piers Morgan took America’s late night time hosts to job, calling them “hyper-partisan activist hacks” within the wake of Stephen Colbert’s “Late Present” cancellation.
On Sunday, the U.Okay. journalist reposted a hyperlink on X to the New York Submit story headlined “The Left Present with Stephen Colbert” that broke down what number of extra left-leaning visitors appeared on the CBS program in comparison with right-leaning ones.
“That is so damning,” Morgan stated. “Most of America’s largest late-night hosts have turn out to be nothing greater than hyper-partisan activist hacks for the Democrats — a celebration that’s not often been extra unpopular. No surprise Colbert obtained canned. Extra will comply with.”
Morgan’s suggestion that “extra will comply with” sparked pushback and callouts from followers saying the journalist was seeming to facet with President Trump and agreeing he may have a say in what stations ought to air. Morgan shot again that he didn’t imagine the president had something to do with “The Late Present” ending.

Morgan’s feedback and The New York Submit story come weeks after CBS introduced the cancellation of “The Late Present” they stated was “purely a monetary determination in opposition to a difficult backdrop in late night time.” That has not stopped many followers from stating the present was canceled simply days after the host derided Paramount’s $16 million settlement with President Donald Trump.
The president himself celebrated “The Late Present” cancellation and contemplated if extra left-leaning late-night hosts is perhaps subsequent on the block.
