The fast-growing Canyon hearth is threatening areas round Piru and Castiac alongside the Ventura-Los Angeles county line.
The hearth broke out round 2 p.m. close to Holser Canyon Highway, northeast of Piru — a small, unincorporated city in Ventura County not removed from Castaic Junction, the place Interstate 5 meets Freeway 126.
Inside two hours, it had grown to greater than 1,000 acres, in accordance with the California Division of Forestry and Fireplace Safety.

- In Ventura County, all the Lake Piru Recreation Space; east of Piru Canyon Highway to the Los Angeles County line; east of the neighborhood of Piru (east of Middle Avenue and Route 126 to the L.A. County line. Extra particulars right here.
