Minnesota went 14-3 last season … and didn’t win its division.
That’s how competitive the NFC North was a year ago.
Which squad is favored to win the division this season?
Here are the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Aug. 28, as well as what to know about the division.
NFC North
Packers: +175 (bet $10 to win $27.50 total)
Lions: +180 (bet $10 to win $28 total)
Vikings: +350 (bet $10 to win $45 total)
Bears: +600 (bet $10 to win $57.50 total)
What to know: This division is projected to be extremely tight next season. All four teams have won the division at least once over the past seven seasons — Green Bay three times, Detroit twice, and both Chicago and Minnesota once. The Lions have won the last two division titles and are coming off a 15-2 season. Of the previous four NFC North winners, three have not won a game in the playoffs. Detroit lost its dynamic offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, who is now the head coach in Chicago. Meanwhile, Green Bay made a significant splash just a week before the regular season begins, acquiring Micah Parsons via trade with the Cowboys.
Key addition: Parsons, who asked his way out of Dallas this summer, beefs up Green Bay’s pass rush to the nth degree. He’s recorded at least 12 sacks and 40 tackles in each of his four seasons with the Cowboys. The Packers haven’t had a player reach double-digit sacks since Za’Darius Smith had 12.5 in 2020. Rashan Gary led the team in sacks each of the past two years (7.5 in 2024, nine in 2023), but the unit as a whole ranked just 20th in quarterback pressure rate last season (32.3%), per Next Gen Stats.
