Police stories and surveillance footage are sometimes not on the highest of the to-do checklist for a bride and groom on their wedding ceremony day.

However an opportunistic wedding ceremony crasher made off with greater than a goodie bag at a reception over the weekend. The uninvited visitor stole a donation field containing roughly $100,000 in money, present playing cards and checks meant for a pair of newlyweds celebrating in Glendale.

The theft happened at a banquet corridor on Saturday night simply after midnight, in line with reporting from KTLA. Video surveillance footage from the corridor exhibits a man dressed all in black casually transfer via the reception whereas company are on the dance ground. At one level, he orders a drink from the bar and makes a cellphone name within the foyer.

The person went largely unnoticed till a bridesmaid noticed him seize the donation field and sprint out of the banquet corridor via a facet door, KTLA reported.

“At that time, the music stopped, everybody was conscious of the state of affairs,” the bride, Nadeen Farahat, informed KTLA. “It’s such a memorable and glad day and also you’re having a lot enjoyable. You don’t take into consideration these items. It’s the very last thing that might’ve been on anybody’s thoughts.”

The couple stated they paid further for safety at Renaissance Banquet. They estimate that the overall sum of money and items within the field was roughly $80,000 to $100,000. They filed a police report concerning the theft.

“It was a beautiful celebration till the incident happened,” the groom, George Farahat, informed KTLA. “As is custom in our tradition, most individuals give money or checks as items for the newlyweds, so there was field containing all of the envelopes, the playing cards, the cash from household and buddies that have been invited.”

The person drove away in what the couple consider is a black Mercedes Benz.

The Glendale Police Division stated it was investigating.
