Before we know it, two MLB teams from each league will face off for one championship pennant.
With the MLB regular season completed, it’s time for playoff baseball. Let’s check out the odds to win the AL pennant and NL pennant at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Sept. 30.
National League winner
Phillies: +215 (bet $10 to win $31.50 total)
Dodgers: +280 (bet $10 to win $38 total)
Brewers: +330 (bet $10 to win $43 total)
Padres: +650 (bet $10 to win $75 total)
Cubs: +700 (bet $10 to win $80 total)
Reds: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)
What to know: The Dodgers are the reigning champs and the Brewers had the best regular-season record baseball, yet neither are favored to win the World Series or the National League. Both of those designations belong to the Phillies, the team that finished with the second-best record in baseball. The Phillies (NL East winner) went 2-4 against the Brewers (NL Central winner) in the regular season, and 4-2 against the Dodgers (clinched playoff berth). They have a first-round bye, and will face the winner of the Reds-Dodgers wild-card series. L.A. went 5-1 against Cincinnati during the regular season. The other wild-card matchup is the Cubs vs. the Padres. They split six games in the regular season.

American League winner
Mariners: +185 (bet $10 to win $28.50 total)
Blue Jays: +270 (bet $10 to win $37 total)
Yankees: +390 (bet $10 to win $49 total)
Tigers: +700 (bet $10 to win $80 total)
Red Sox: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total)
Guardians: +1100 (bet $10 to win $120 total)
What to know: Toronto and New York finished tied with the best record in the AL, but once again, the most wins in a league does not equal the favorite to win that league. Seattle is atop the AL pennant oddsboard, and it finished the regular season winning 17 of its last 21 games. The Mariners will play the winner of the Detroit-Cleveland wild-card series, and the Jays will play the winner of the Red Sox-Yankees (!!!) wild-card tilt. The Guardians won the regular-season series against the Tigers 8-5, and Boston won nine of 13 games against New York.
