A 26-year-old man succumbed to a gunshot wound to the chest early Friday morning while seated in a vehicle on a Bronx street.
Incident Details
The shooting occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Thwaites Place near Barker Avenue in the Pelham Parkway neighborhood. Emergency medical services transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity.
Investigation Underway
No suspects are in custody as of now. Investigators continue to canvass the area for surveillance footage to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal shooting.
