Shinsegae International recorded sales of 344.3 billion won and an operating loss of 2.8 billion won for the fourth quarter of 2025, according to its latest disclosure on January 9. Sales rose 5.6% from the year-earlier period, while the operating loss narrowed by 8.1%. Net profit swung to a 1.5 billion won gain during the same quarter.
Q4 Performance Highlights
On an adjusted basis including the JaZu division, actual sales reached 399.9 billion won, up 4.6% year-over-year. This figure delivered an operating profit of 1.3 billion won and net profit of approximately 1.6 billion won, marking a turnaround to profitability. The JaZu business transferred to Shinsegae Department Store effective January 1, 2026.
Full-Year 2025 Results
For the entire year, sales totaled 1.11 trillion won, a 3.4% increase from the prior year, though the company reported an operating loss of 11.5 billion won. Adjusted sales including JaZu came in at 1.3231 trillion won, with operating profit at 16 billion won.

A company spokesperson stated, “Even amid challenging market conditions last year, we continued investments in global market expansion, rebranding, and securing distribution rights for new brands.” The executive added, “Building on this imported growth, we aim to achieve short-term performance improvements and long-term growth foundations.”
