U.S. Central Command released footage capturing American forces destroying Iranian aircraft on the ground during ongoing military operations against Iran.
U.S. Dismantles Iranian Air Power
Amid continued airstrikes, CENTCOM highlighted the erosion of Iran’s aerial strength. “The Iranian regime is losing air capability day by day,” the command stated in a recent X post. “U.S. forces aren’t just defending against Iranian threats; we are methodically dismantling them.”
The video depicts an Iranian plane moments before a strike triggers a massive explosion.
No U.S. Losses to Iranian Forces
No American fighter jets have been shot down by Iran, CENTCOM confirmed. The command rejected an IRGC leader’s claim of downing a U.S. F-15 south of Tehran as false. “No U.S. fighter aircraft have been shot down by Iran. U.S. forces continue to exercise air superiority over vast swaths of Iran,” the post emphasized.
Iran’s Outdated Air Fleet Exposed
Iran’s aging aircraft fleet poses a key vulnerability compared to modern U.S. and Israeli jets like the F-35. This weakness drives Iran’s dependence on ballistic missiles, now frequent targets of coalition strikes.
Prior Friendly Fire Incident
Earlier this month, three U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle jets fell to Kuwaiti air defenses in a friendly fire mishap during intense combat involving Iranian aircraft, missiles, and drones. All six crew members ejected safely and were recovered. Kuwait acknowledged the event and supports the operations.
