As Eid 2026 draws near, mastering biryani elevates festive feasts. This iconic dish demands precision in rice selection, marination, spices, cooking techniques, layering, dum method, and resting. Follow these seven proven strategies to achieve aromatic, fluffy grains and tender meat in every bite.

Select Premium Long-Grain Basmati Rice

Opt for high-quality long-grain basmati rice to capture biryani’s signature fragrance and separate grains. Rinse it thoroughly under cold water and soak for 30 minutes. This step removes excess starch, promotes even cooking, and yields light, non-sticky results.
