The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has reached a seat-sharing agreement for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Under the deal, AIADMK will contest 178 seats, while BJP targets 27 out of the total 234 seats.
Announcement at Key Press Conference
AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami announced the pact during a press conference in Chennai. He emphasized the strength of the coalition, stating, “Our alliance is an alliance of victory. We will form a government this time.”
Palaniswami addressed rumors, noting, “We travel to Delhi to hold discussions but the DMK is spreading false information about us. Talks concluded smoothly. Our alliance partners held a discussion today and by today seat allocation of smaller parties will also be decided.”

Key figures attended the event, including Union Minister and BJP Tamil Nadu election in-charge Piyush Goyal, state BJP president Nainar Nagenthran, PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss, and AMMK General Secretary TTV Dinakaran.
The agreement positions the NDA to challenge rivals in the polls, with allocations for smaller allies expected soon.
