Redesigned for a young Indian family—a working couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their dog—the home blends functionality with elegance. Previously home to an elderly couple, it now features an open layout, practical storage, and warm textures tailored to family life.
Design Approach
The redesign emphasizes simplicity, timeless appeal, and child-safe elements. A neutral palette of greige and brown tones creates a cohesive, calming backdrop throughout. Shaker-style cabinetry adds enduring style, while soft arched details in walls, niches, and joinery soften transitions and enhance safety for the child and pet. The kitchen, vital for the family’s routine, expands by removing utility walls, forming a spacious cooking and dining area with seamless flow.
Living Room
Natural light floods the living room through sheer curtains and floor-to-ceiling sand-colored drapes. A neutral sectional sofa with rose-patterned cushions and a sage green throw invites relaxation amid warm wood flooring and a light-wood ceiling fan.
