NFL Franchise Ends 14-Year Radio Partnership
The Buffalo Bills organization revealed plans Tuesday to bring all radio production and distribution operations in-house starting in 2026. This strategic shift concludes the team’s 14-year broadcast relationship with WGR-AM 550 and Rochester affiliate 950-AM The Fan.
Digital-First Broadcast Strategy
Beginning with the 2026 season, live game coverage and related programming will transition exclusively to digital platforms. Fans can access broadcasts through BuffaloBills.com and the team’s official mobile application.
The changes arrive sooner for the popular weekday program “One Bills Live,” which will move to team-controlled distribution starting February 9. The show will maintain its current 1-3 p.m. time slot and continue simulcasting on MSG Western New York. Veteran hosts Chris Brown and Steve Tasker will remain with the program through this transition.
Modernizing Fan Engagement
Pete Guelli, Chief Operating Officer of the Bills, explained the decision in an official statement: “Media consumption patterns have undergone dramatic transformation. Direct control over production, distribution, and advertising sales enables us to enhance fan accessibility while deepening connections with Western New York’s business community.”
Industry analysts note this move aligns with broader sports media trends where franchises increasingly prioritize direct-to-consumer digital distribution to maintain audience engagement amidst evolving listening habits.
