Israel Jail Service succeeded in returning two escaped inmates because it expands operations to carry fugitives to justice.
Israel Jail Service efficiently carried out operations over the previous few days to catch and return two escaped inmates, IPS confirmed on Thursday.
The primary operation, carried out by IPS’s Maoz Unit, led to the arrest of a inmate who fled from supervisors after eradicating his ankle monitor. The person was arrested in Tel Aviv on intelligence offered by Israel Police.
IPS’s Barkai Unit, whose focus is finding those that have violated their parole, dealt with the second operation that result in the arrest of an inmate who escaped sentencing.
They succeeded in arrested the escapee by working in tandem with the Nationwide Guard and Israel Police to lock down and encompass the inmate’s residence following a protracted foot chase in southern Israel, IPS confirmed.
Over 240 fugitives have been re-arrested to serve out the rest of their sentences, for the reason that starting of IPS’s operation to catch and return escaped inmates.

Suspected rapist arrested
In a separate occasion on Saturday evening, Israel Police arrested the suspected rapist of a Polish vacationer who has been on the run for 5 years. The suspect was arrested in Beit Jala on Saturday evening, and was delivered to the Etzion police station for questioning.
