Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, accuses Israel of orchestrating attacks in Turkey and Oman to create divisions across the region. He describes these incidents as part of a broader scheme by the “Zionist enemy.”

Khamenei’s Strong Denials and Warnings

“The attacks in Turkey and Oman are a scheme by the Zionist enemy to sow division among our nations,” Khamenei states. He emphasizes shared values and interests with neighboring countries in confronting global arrogance.

Khamenei dismisses claims that external pressures could weaken Iran. “The enemy thought it could dominate Iran and partition it,” he asserts, adding that the Iranian people have formed an “impregnable fortress” by rallying in public squares and striking back powerfully.

He rejects notions of internal unrest following leadership-targeted strikes. “The enemy was deluding itself that by assassinating the head of the regime, our people would abandon the squares,” Khamenei says. He warns that expectations of a quick overthrow of the Islamic regime are misguided.

Addressing domestic audiences, Khamenei advises media outlets to avoid highlighting weaknesses. He reaffirms Iran’s commitment to bolstering ties with neighbors.

Iran’s Position on Recent Strikes

Iran acknowledges launching missiles and drones at targets in Gulf states, insisting these focus on U.S.-linked assets. However, Tehran firmly denies any involvement in attacks on Turkey. Iran’s embassy in Ankara states, “No projectiles have been fired from Iran towards Turkey,” and offers to establish a joint technical team to investigate and clarify the matter.

Iranian officials propose that strikes in Turkey and a drone attack in neighboring Azerbaijan may represent Israeli “false flag” operations, although no supporting evidence has surfaced.

Oman’s Call for U.S. Withdrawal

Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi urges the United States to disengage from the escalating conflict. He describes Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Gulf states as an “inevitable” response to perceived American targets, calling it “deeply regrettable and completely unacceptable” but “probably the only rational option available” to Tehran’s leadership in a recent opinion piece.

Al Busaidi criticizes Washington for miscalculating by entering the fray, heightening regional tensions.
