No exact location of the search space has been given.

Malaysian investigators initially didn’t rule out the likelihood that the plane had been intentionally taken off track. Particles, some confirmed and a few believed to be from the plane, has washed up alongside the coast of Africa and on islands within the Indian Ocean.
