MANILA, Philippines — A shear line is set to deliver heavy rainfall across the eastern parts of Southern Luzon and the Visayas region this Sunday. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecasts significant precipitation in these areas.
Rainfall Warnings Issued
In its early morning update, Pagasa alerts residents to expect 50 to 100 millimeters of rain from the shear line, particularly affecting Catanduanes and Albay. These conditions could lead to potential hazards such as flash floods and landslides.
Officials urge the public to stay vigilant and prepare for possible disruptions, monitoring weather updates closely as the system develops.
